Windtalkers (2002)
Just saw it for the first time. A very brutal and moving WWII film. - JW
During World War II when the Americans needed to find a secure method of communicating they devised a code using the Navajo language. So Navajos were recruited to become what they call code talkers. They would be assigned to a unit and would communicate with other units using the code so that even though the enemy could listen they couldn't understand what they were saying. And to insure that the code is protected men are assigned to protect it at all costs. One of these men is Joe Enders, a man who sustained an injury that can make him unfit for duty but he manages to avoid it and is told of his duty and that the man he is suppose to protect is Ben Yahzee. Initially there is tension but the two men learn to get along.

One of the greatest war films with the most realistic action ever!
This is one of the greatest war films of all time and it deserves awards in my opinion! Most people may not think this but Nicolas and Adam Beach deserves best actor and supporting actor awards in my opinion. Christian Slater was good but his role was reduced and its a shame that Jason Isaacs was in Windtalkers just for one scene because he has a great volume of potential and I feel he should have had a much bigger role. James Horner`s score was good and the directing by John Woo was excellent.Windtalkers is one of the most realistic war film I have ever scene and the scenes with the planes is beautifully stunning! I recommend this film to all war and action film fans alike!

Can't re-watch it again
I was 13-14 when I watched this movie. It's a long movie if I recall it correctly. I was so moved by it's theme, so I watched it all. I had strong feelings of sadness and sympathy towards little robot David that wanted to be a real child and to have a mom to love him. And that little bear ... I cried during some scenes. I don't ...
