This episode was recorded on April 4, 2022.
In this speech at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Jordan shared recent thoughts on ethics, scripture, and the problem of perception. He asked the audience to reflect on how we remember great stories (but seem to instantly forget bad ones), why Western culture ended up being a book (instead of—say—a sickle), and whether the West truly is a “phallogocentric" culture.
All of this, Jordan says, tied to a broader possibility—perhaps his “most radical claim"—that, as we navigate the value structures we call reality, a lot of so-called “navigational” problems are really veiled ethical ones.

Can't re-watch it again
I was 13-14 when I watched this movie. It's a long movie if I recall it correctly. I was so moved by it's theme, so I watched it all. I had strong feelings of sadness and sympathy towards little robot David that wanted to be a real child and to have a mom to love him. And that little bear ... I cried during some scenes. I don't ...
The Real Reason Russia and Iran Worry About Israel's F-35s
In October 2024, something unprecedented happened: Russian and Iranian radars tracked Israeli Adirs for the first time. But what followed proved why the F-35I remains Moscow and Tehran’s worst nightmare. During Operation Rising Lion, Israel demonstrated the most advanced stealth-warfare tactics ever recorded—destroying an entire network of Iranian air defenses without losing a single aircraft.
This video breaks down how Israeli jets used frequency-hopping EW systems, sensor fusion, and kill-chain disruption tactics to defeat the S-300 and Bavar-373—systems Russia claims can stop any stealth fighter. We expose how the F-35I operated as an airborne intelligence center, mapping radars, feeding targeting data to follow-on aircraft, and enabling precision strikes from over 100 miles away.
You’ll also see how the June 2025 Iranian air ...
World Science Federation - Greatest Mysteries of Gravity | Brian Greene & Kip Thorne
Nobel laureate Kip Thorne joins Brian Greene to trace a story that runs from the trenches of World War I to the rise of gravitational-wave astronomy—a journey that eventually carried black holes to Hollywood in Interstellar through Thorne’s work with Christopher Nolan.
He revisits the improbable path from Einstein’s equations to the moment LIGO—an experiment he helped imagine and that contributed to his Nobel Prize—captured the sound of two black holes colliding more than a billion light-years away. Along the way, he explores puzzles that stymied generations: the nature of horizons and singularities, the mathematical insights of Schwarzschild and Penrose, and the profound divide between what an outside observer sees and what a falling observer experiences.
The conversation also turns to the human side of deep...
